Girl Scout Cookie Remix - 47 ABC - Delmarva's Choice

Girl Scout Cookie Remix

Posted: Updated:

BETHANY BEACH, Del. - It's a favorite springtime treat: Girl Scout Cookies.

And a group of local restaurants got creative - and competitive - with the sweet snacks.

SoDel Concepts - parent company of restaurants like Blue Coast and Catch 54 - challenged each of it's six restaurants to create a dessert incorporating the cookies.

"Each restaurant got assigned a different cookie, and their recipes evolved," said Mike Dickinson, Director of Operations for SoDel Concepts.

A panel of judges, including a member of the girl scouts, was on hand to decide which restaurant takes the cake -- or pie.

"We like to support youth groups here anyway we can," said Dickinson. "The Girl Scouts is a great organization, so basically we wanted to help them raise awareness, help them sell some cookies and help them get their cookies out there."

The restaurants don't stop at dessert. Blue Coast Seafood Grill  has a girl scout cookie waffle, with doe-see-doe cookies in the batter.

Each restaurant's creation is only available while the cookie supply lasts. Visit SoDel Concepts - and each restaurant - here: http://www.sodelconcepts.com/.
