DSU Drops Summer Session Tuition Rate

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. - One local university is cutting its tuition for the summer months.

Delaware State University's Board of Trustees has approved a 35% reductions for their summer session courses. For summer 2013, in-state rate will go from $273 down to $177, per credit hour, while out-of-state will drop from $602 down to $403. These reductions are for undergraduate courses, for both of DSU's two summer sessions.

Dr. Eric A. Cheek, DSU director of Summer School and Summer Programs,  said "many of our students and families are struggling, and as a caring University we need to help them in any way we can. By reducing the undergraduate summer rates by 35%, we are giving students the opportunity to get ahead, catch up or just stay on track and save on their total cost."

The rate for graduate credit hours will remain the same.
