SALISBURY, Md. -- Women Supporting Women is hoping you join them to help breast cancer patients and survivors right here on the Eastern Shore. "Bras for a Cause" is a fun and creative way to get people talking about the deadly disease. The concept is simple, get a bra, get creative, and help raise money for this vital resource.
Organizers say it's all about raising awareness.
"It's a local organization, it takes care of local people and all the services they offer are free to everyone who comes in their door," Dottie Turner tells us.
"We want people to understand that we have to talk about this, we have to start testing your family genes and understanding where your family DNA comes from so that you understand how to prevent it, early detection is the key to this," Carlos Mir adds.
Throughout the month of May, all the bras will be on display at the Centre at Salisbury. Each vote is $1.00, and there are several different categories. The deadline to register is coming up on April, 22. To learn more or to register, Click Here.
