Residents Hop To Downtown Salisbury For Easter Egg Hunt

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - An early Easter celebration had residents hopping in downtown Salisbury.

Remedy Church hosted it's first Easter egg hunt on the Plaza -as hundreds of kids and parents dug through plants, looked through every crack and crevice and even and went fishing in the fountain for some 8,000 Easter eggs.

It wasn't just all about the candy.

In an effort to bring more foot traffic to the downtown area, the church gave away prizes and discounts to local businesses.

"This was crazy and a little bit of time that they did this in, they completely covered it in eggs and the kids went crazy and had a great time," said Josh Young of Harrington, Del.

"My favorite part was competing with people to get as many eggs as you could," said Jacob Young of Harrington, Del.

Remedy Church says they are hoping to bring 20,000 eggs downtown next year and are looking for some help. If you would like to donate plastic eggs or get involved next year, you can email the church at egghunt@remedychurch.me or head over to their Facebook page.
