3 Year-Old Girl Hit By Car In Denton Driveway

DENTON, Md. - A 3 year-old girl is in the hospital after being struck by a car in a Denton Driveway.

On Friday, March 29, 2013 around 7pm, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Easton Barrack responded to a home on Piney Branch Lane in Denton.

When Troopers arrived, they discovered the girl was hit by 25 year-old James Michael Ray Alton Jr.  While Alton was reversing in the driveway, he accidentally struck the child, who was playing behind his vehicle.  Alton immediately contacted 911.  

The 3 year old female was transported to Garey Rd by Denton EMS and was then flown to John's Hopkins.  Reports say the 3 year-old girl is being treated for serious injuries.

Charges against the driver are pending.
