17-year-old Stabbed, Killed In Downtown Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - Police say a 17-year-old male was found stabbed in the chest in downtown Hagerstown and later died at a hospital.

Police say the young man was found on the sidewalk in the 100 block of West Franklin Street late Friday night suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to Meritus Medical Center where he died.

Police have arrested 26-year-old Antonio Gardner of the District of Columbia in the stabbing. He is charged with second-degree murder and related charges.

The victim's name was not immediately released Saturday.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward with information.
