Local Celebs Locked Up For Camp Fundraiser

Posted: Updated:

RHODESDALE, Md. - You can help bail out a local celebrity and support underprivileged children in our area all at the same time.

On Monday, Camp ESPA, which stands for Eastern Shore Police Association will host their Sixth Annual Celebrity Lock-Up Day. It's an effort to help raise money for campers.

Camp coordinators tell WMDT that there are 25 volunteers that try to raise at least $1,000.  They will go before a judge who will ask them to "enter their plea."  If they raise the money, they are free to walk.  If not, the celebrity will be bound to a holding cell to call as many people to try and collect the money.

Among the celebrities is Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis.
