Aerial Mosquito Spraying Starting On Delmarva

MARYLAND - The Maryland Department of Agriculture is starting aerial mosquito spraying in several local counties. Starting Monday, April 1st, Mosquito Control Section will fly over Dorchester, Somerset and Worcester Counties in a white plane with blue and red stripes during daylight hours.

Flooded woodland areas will be sprayed with a biological larvicide, for mosquito larvae. Areas include woodlands near the City of Cambridge, Dames Quarter and Fairmont, along with Turville Creek and Sinepuxent Neck.
