Two Suspicious Deaths Being Investigated In Town Of Wyoming

Posted: Updated:

WYOMING, Del. - Police are looking for answers, after two people were reportedly found shot in their Wyoming home. Delaware State Police say around 11:00 AM on Thursday, a relative of the 57-year-old woman went to the South Layton Avenue home, to check on her, after she didn't show up to work.

Once inside the home, the relative reportedly found both the woman, and her 56-year-old husband, on the floor of their bedroom with apparent gunshot wounds. 911 was alerted, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in critical condition.

DSP say that the investigation is still in the early stages, and details are still very limited. Police do clarify that they believe that this was an isolated incident, and there are no concerns for the community. Delaware State Police say they are listing the nature of the murder as a "death investigation." They are waiting on an autopsy by the medical examiner before knowing a cause.
