DE Upstate Trout Season To Begin April 6

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware's spring 2013 upstate trout season is set to open.

The Division of Fish and Wildlife says the season will open at 7:30 a.m. on April 6. Six designated trout streams in northern New Castle County will be stocked with rainbow and brown trout, including some trophy-sized fish.

A fishing license is required for most anglers. Children under the age of 16 and residents over 65 are exempt.

Most trout fishers also must buy a Delaware Trout Stamp.
