DELAWARE - Crews have been working to keep the roads safe all day in Delaware, but officials warn that drivers should still proceed with caution. DelDOT says that primary roads are clear of snow and slush, but back roads in the state could still be slick.

A crew of about 400 people were working on the roads throughout the day, by pushing snow and applying salt. DelDOT says some crews will still be working through the night, clearing roads and monitoring the situation.

Officials are advising drivers to drive slowly and leave extra time in your commute to get to your destination safely. DelDOT says that roads could freeze overnight, and they are reminding drivers that bridges, overpasses, and heavily wooded areas are often the first to freeze.
