SALISBURY, Md. - Police have released more information about a Salisbury bank robbery that happened on Thursday. Salisbury Police say that around 10:40 AM on March 21st, 42-year-old Gary Mitchell, of Salisbury, took a taxi to the PNC Bank on Civic Avenue.

According to the report, the taxi waited outside while Mitchell gave a note demanding money to an employee, and told them that he had a gun. Police say that Mitchell ended up getting away with $4,177 during the robbery, and when he was arrested a short time later, they recovered only $3,422.

An investigation showed that Mitchell was on parole for a series of six bank robberies that he committed around Baltimore in 2004. In connection with Thursday's bank robbery, Mitchell has been charged with armed robbery, robbery, 1st and 2nd degree assault, and theft less than $10,000.
