SALISBURY, Md. - We're just less than a month away before the April 15th tax deadline and law students want to help you file your taxes for just $10.
University of Maryland law students hit the Eastern Shore this weekend to offer Just Advice, a drop-in clinic for brief legal advice.
They answered questions on a wide range of topics, including taxes and criminal law at the Wicomico Public Library.
"[Social workers are] on-hand for issues that a lawyer maybe can't resolve," said CJ Santos, Just Advice supervisor. "It's really on a lot of our customers that come in with heavy issues and they'll sit down with a social worker and get services to help out with emotional, mental and benefits."
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are strongly encouraged. Call 410-929-4809 for more information. If you missed the event today, there will be another session tomorrow morning from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Somerset County Library in Princess Anne.
