Salisbury Airport Control Tower To Close April 7th

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury Wicomico Airport's traffic control tower, along with four other Maryland control towers will shut down.

The FAA announced it's planning to close 149 of the 238 towers originally expected to close due to forced spending cuts. The plans involve closing the towers over a four-week period beginning April 7th.

Now to be clear, that doesn't mean the airport will shut down. However, it could impact their military operations, but no word on exactly how it will be affected.
