Mar. 25 The Apple Diabetes Team

GOOD MORNING DELMARVA - In recognition of Diabetes Alert Day on March 26th, the Apple Diabetes Team will be offering free diabetes risk tests, free blood glucose testing and the A1C test (average blood sugar) for $9.97.

The event will be from 9:00am-6:00pm at The Fruitland Apple Discount Drugs location (404A Fruitland Blvd) with Certified Diabetes Educators John Motsko and Geoff Twigg and community members.

Participants will be given free blood glucose log books, free Diabetes ID cards and free Blood Pressure Testing will be done throughout the day in the Fruitland location.

John Motsko and Geoff Twigg offer one-on-one and group counseling sessions to educate, provide resources and support diabetic patients in managing the disease.  During each counseling session, patients learn about nutrition, lifestyle changes and diabetic products.  Customers also learn about the different types of blood glucose meters and the importance of testing each meter to make sure it is functioning properly.

Motsko will be available for questions and to provide guidance on next steps for diabetes patients.
