WILMINGTON, DE. (AP) - Environmental officials are looking for volunteers to help clean up a Delaware river.
The cleanup of the Christina River and several of its tributaries is taking place April 6 at twelve different sites.
This is the 22nd year of the annual cleanup. Since the efforts began in 1992 more than 350 tons of tires, appliances, household items and other objects have been cleared from the river.
The cleanup is sponsored by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control.
