Salisbury Council Candidates Debate Weeks Before Election

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - In less than two weeks, Salisbury voters head to the polls.

Mayoral and City Council candidates met for the first of two remaining debates Monday night at the Bethany Lutheran Church. WMDT caught up with the District 2 candidates, Jake Day and incumbent Debbie Campbell, who tell us what they will do to help lead Salisbury for the next several years.

"A lot of people ask me, "why do you want to be apart of that mess?" said Jake Day. "People say, and the thing is I don't. I want to change it. I want to do it differently."

"This is a choice between maintaining the progress that we made in these respects or going back," said Debbie Campbell.

Election Day is April 2nd.
