Fruitland City Councilman Resigns

Posted: Updated:

FRUITLAND, Md. - It appears the Fruitland City Council will have to hold a special election to fill a now vacant seat.

WMDT confirmed Thursday, councilman Ted Lokey resigned on Tuesday. We reached out to Lokey and other city officials to get more details but we're waiting for them to return our phone calls.

Lokey was elected this past fall in his second run for city council.
