Bill To Repeal Del. Death Penalty Passes Senate Committee

DELAWARE - A bill to repeal the death penalty and replace it with life imprisonment passed a Senate judiciary committee Wednesday afternoon.

Community leaders, the family members of murder victims, and death row exoneree Kirk Bloodsworth all gave testimony.

The bill is tentatively scheduled to move to the Senate floor this coming Tuesday.
