Pollard Jeep in Boulder Colorado builds a 500Hp Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that will be used as a Pace Car this season at the Colorado National Speedway.

Pollard Jeep, their off-road division Trail Jeeps, 92.5 The Wolf radio station and the Colorado National Speedway have partnered to create this unique vehicle. The Pollard, 92.5 The Wolf Pace Jeep was built at the Pollard Jeep modification facility in Boulder Colorado. This team replaced the standard engine with a 6.4Liter SRT racing engine which produces 500Hp giving this Jeep the speed and power to allow it to serve as the first ever Pace Jeep.

In addition to the powerful engine, the Pace Jeep also has a 3 ½” suspension lift, 35” tires, off-road bumpers and winch and a colorful, logo’d wrap. It will be unveiled to the public on March 23rd 2013 at a special event on their Boulder Colorado lot. Any adult with a valid drivers license will be allowed to take this unit on a test drive.

Trail Jeeps and Pollard Jeep have been building custom off-road Jeeps for two years and have built dozens of units with Hemi engines and custom suspensions. Some of these modified Jeeps are off-road racers. Modifications for a fully built off-road racer can cost upwards of $120K above the cost of the Jeep Wrangler itself. “But when you need to go fast over rough terrain there is no substitute for these mods,” said James Pollard, President of Pollard Jeep. “We perform all levels of modifications from simple for the occasional off-roader to these specialty machines.”
