OCEAN CITY, MD. - Ocean City Police say they arrested a man last Saturday that allegedly stole an off-duty federal law enforcement officer's handgun from a room at an Ocean City hotel.

Police say, 19 year-old Jeffery King of Bridgeville, Delaware was charged with first, third, and fourth degree burglary for allegedly breaking into the officer's room and stealing the .40 caliber handgun along with other personal items.

Investigators say they used security footage from the hotel to identify the suspect and were able to arrest him on the boardwalk roughly 30 minutes after identifying him.

Police say King had an outstanding juvenile warrant from Wicomico County and is now being held on $100,000.00 dollars bond.
