Crisfield Airport Ideal For Unmanned Aerial Testing

CRISFIELD, Md. - Crisfield Airport could soon serve another purpose for the Mid-Atlantic Unmanned Aerial Systems Coalition.

At a County Commissioners meeting held Tuesday afternoon, the group proposed making the airport a test site for integrating systems into the airspace. Officials tell WMDT this could open up opportunities for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's aviation science program. The board heard the proposal Tuesday and may take another look, at next week's work session.
