Deandre Wright
SALISBURY, Md. - A traffic stop leads to an arrest, after the driver reportedly hit the deputy during the stop.
On Saturday night, a deputy with the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office tried to stop a Lincoln sedan after running the license plate and seeing that the owner was wanted. The deputy says that the driver, 29-year-old Deandre Wright, continued to drive on Eastern Shore Drive, for several blocks, before finally stopping.
During the stop, Wright, apparently ignored instructions from law enforcement, on the scene, and when they started searching Wright, he started flailing his arms, and reportedly hit the deputy who was searching him.
Wright was arrested, charged with 2nd degree assault, and held at the Detention Center on $75,000 bond.
