POCOMOKE, Md. - Edgar T. "Buddy" Taylor, Jr., 89, of Pocomoke City, Maryland died on Friday, March 15, 2013, at Hartley Hall Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Pocomoke City.  "Buddy" was born December 3, 1923 in Accomack County, VA to the late Edgar T. Taylor, Sr. and the late Mollie Archer Taylor.

A graduate of Pocomoke High School, he worked with his father in the lumber and saw mill business and in later years became a real estate salesman for Frank Maher in Salisbury. After several years he became a licensed real estate agent in Pocomoke City.
He loved raising and selling Chincoteague ponies, as long as his health allowed him to care for them.  He was a member of Bethany United Methodist and a member of the Pocomoke City Kiwanis Club, serving as President from 1990-1991.  He is survived by one sister, Nancy Katherine Taylor of Pocomoke City and three special cousins, Helene Stevens of Ocean City, MD, David Baylis of Savage, MD and Joseph A. Brimer of Williamsburg, VA and a host of other cousins and extended family members who were cherished, but are too numerous to mention by name.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Elizabeth Taylor.

A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Dr. Sally Dolch, will be held at Noon on Monday, March 18, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Market Street, Pocomoke City, Maryland 21851.  If desired, memorial contributions can be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 145, Pocomoke City, MD 21851 or to the Pocomoke City Vol. Fire Co., 1410 Market Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.  Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 107 Vine Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
