SALISBURY, Md. - Anne Marie Kastner Coppersmith, 97, of Salisbury, died on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Coastal Hospice At The Lake. Born in Flushing, New York, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. Kastner and Anne G. Connors Kastner.  Anne was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and Wicomico #91 Order of the Eastern Star in Salisbury where she served as Worthy Matron in 1961. She worked for Kresege's in New York, then Woolworths in Seaford and retired in 1978 after 14 years with the Sharptown shirt factory.

She is survived by a son, William "Bill" Ernest Coppersmith and his wife, Alice of Gaithersburg; two grandchildren, Michael W. Coppersmith & his wife, Ann of Rockville and David S. Coppersmith & his wife, Sara of Ellicott City; 2 great granddaughters, Hannah Colleen Coppersmith and Kara Sheridan Coppersmith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. Coppersmith in 1994; a sister, Marion Cate; and two brothers, Edward and Russell Kastner.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Officiating will be Rev. William Kniceley. Interment will follow at Galestown Cemetery in Galestown, Maryland.  Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Bethany Lutheran Church, 817 Camden Avenue, Salisbury, MD 21801 and or Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.  Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, PA, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, Maryland 21804.
