Worcester County Health Dept. Sponsors Free Grocery Store Tours

Snow Hill, Md. - The Worcester County Health Department will sponsor free grocery store tours on March 18 and March 20 to help participants navigate grocery aisles and learn how to select healthy foods while staying within their budget.

The tours are in observation of National Nutrition Month. This year’s theme is to “Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day.”  The awareness month encourages individuals to develop healthy eating plans tailored to their lifestyles, traditions, health needs and including the foods they love.  A healthy lifestyle includes balancing physical activity with a healthful eating plan which incorporates individual food choices and preferences.  

The tours will begin at 9:00 AM on the following two days.

Monday, March 18 at Wal-Mart, 11416 Ocean Gateway, Berlin
Wednesday, March 20 at Wal-Mart, 2132 Old Snow Hill Road, Pocomoke
