Salisbury, Md - MAC inc hosted it's 14th annual St. Patrick's Day 5k Run.
The race was held at the Salisbury Elk's lodge and organizers are trying to raise money for the "respi-care" program. This program would go into helping people with Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Even with the possibility of rain, hundreds of people were in attendance.
"My wife makes me and we like to run so figure we come out and try a new race and it's by the zoo so it's a nice scenario and a nice course and something different. We do a lot of 5k's all over we usually do them by the beach area. It's nice to come to something new and see new scenes and it's nice to see something different when you run long ways especially for me because I hate running," says Bridgeville resident Corbin Bean.
Organizers say they hope to raise around 12 to 13 thousand dollars
