Mission Of Mercy's "Free Dental" Services Give One Woman A Chance At Job

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md - The Mission of Mercy's "Free Dental" Services has attracted over 400 people. But one of the people in attendance may be able to get another chance at a job because of it.

"I feel like I was given a miracle. I was going for a job (As a CNA nurse) and I was turned down because of my teeth. I'm a breast cancer survivor so I had trouble since the radiation and my teeth just went downhill" says Therese McCallion.

Although she wanted to get her teeth fixed, she could not afford it. She had no dental insurance and was unemployed. She spent all her money going back to school to get her education. Until she was able to get her teeth fixed through the Mission of Mercy.

"It's a god send. You see so many people here that really need it. The lady had said 'come back when you get your teeth fix.' So guess what? I found a way!"
