LAUREL, Del. - Almost one year after a shooting in Laurel, the suspect is finally in custody. On March 14th, 2012, Delaware State Police say that two victims were shot when trying to flee from a car in Carvel Gardens in Laurel, after the gunman went up to the drivers side window. The shooting left both victims recovering from gunshot wounds.
On March 16th, 2012, police identified Darron Hines, as their suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On March 7th, of this year, almost an entire year after the alleged shooting, U.S. Marshals caught up with Hines, in Pikesville, MD.
He was arrested, and charged with 2 counts of attempted murder, and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was extradited back to Delaware, where he is now being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $320,000 bond.
