Ellik Best, 43, Dover
DOVER, Del. - A Dover man has been arrested and charged in connection with a March 9th shooting. According to Dover Police, detectives identified 43-year-old Ellik Best, as a suspect, and got warrants for his arrest.
On Thursday, Best turned himself in, where he was charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, and possession of ammo by a person prohibited. He is now being held at James T. Vaughn on $26,000 bond.
Police say that on March 9th, Best and a 24-year-old man got into an argument on New Castle Avenue, when Best pulled out a gun, and both the 24-year-old and a 39-year-old victim ended up shot. Best apparently fled. The 24-year-old victim didn't need medical attention, but the 39-year-old was treated at Christiana Hospital.
