BALTIMORE, Md. - The Vice President of Hebron Savings Bank will spend 18 in prison for fraud.
56-year-old Wanda Henderson of Westover was in court after taking a plea deal for embezzlement.
Prosecutors say Henderson created fraudulent loan applications and credit accounts in her name and in the names of multiple family members, dating back to 2005. She forged the signatures of various bank officials, including the President, as the approving loan officer on the fake applications.
Over the course of 6 years, Henderson obtained 20 fraudulent loans for herself or for members of her family by forging signatures and manipulating bank records. The total unpaid principal balance on the fraudulent loans is $682,236.77 and of that amount, over $456,000 has gone into default.
Along with jail time the judge also ordered 5 years of supervised release and a restitution fee of $456,665.00.
