DENTON, Md. - Two people had to be air-lifted from the scene of a crash in Denton.

The Maryland State Police - Easton Barrack says that the collision happened between a 2006 Chevy pickup truck and a 1997 Acura passenger car, around 5:45 PM on Wednesday, on Route 313, south of Kibler Road.

According to the report, the driver of the pickup, 36-year-old Kip Ell, of Greensboro, drove across the center line, and hit the Acura.

Both drivers were flown from the scene by MSP helicopters, Ell to PRMC, and the driver of the Acura to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Their injuries are reportedly not considered life threatening.

Police say that alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash, at the fault of Ell.
