POCOMOKE, Md. - Police are looking for a suspect, who allegedly robbed someone at gunpoint, in a local restaurant parking lot. The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation say that a little after midnight on Wednesday, someone approached a man in the parking lot of the Plaza Tapatia Restaurant, on Ocean Highway, after closing.

The suspect, who apparently had a handgun, demanded money from the victim. The victim reportedly handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the suspect then fled on foot with the money.

The suspect is described as an African American man, around 5' 11" tall, wearing a black jacket, pants, and a bandana covering his face, armed with a black handgun. After the incident was reported, Pocomoke Police and the Worcester County Sheriff's Office used their K-9 teams to search the area, but didn't find the suspect.

The incident remains under investigation, by the Worcester County Bureau of Investigations. Anyone with information is asked to call 410-632-1111.
