SALISBURY, Md. - Ruth Lapp Parsons, 81, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at Salisbury Center Genesis Eldercare. Born in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy Dewey Lapp, Sr. and Ethel Defenderfer Lapp. She previously worked for Manhatten Shirt Factory and then retired from Dresser Wayne as a machine shop operator. She thoroughly enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by a sister, Clara L. Disharoon of Salisbury; 2 brothers, George Lapp and his wife, Irene of Vera Cruz, PA and John Lapp of Eden; 2 nieces, Debbie Burns and her husband, Donald of Tamaqua, PA and Denise Christman and her husband, Donald of Alburtis, PA; and 3 nephews, Eugene Lapp and his wife, Sandy of Vera Cruz, PA, Tim Disharoon and his wife, Diana of Salisbury and Clarence "Buddy" Disharoon and his wife, JoAnn of Parsonsburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton J. Parsons; 2 sisters, June A. Lapp and May Reed; and 2 brothers, Roy Lapp, Jr. and Fred Lapp.
A memorial service will be held for Ruth and also her late sister, June Lapp, on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 4:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior. Officiating will be Matthew Dykes.
