SALISBURY, Md. - Tony "Sam" Palone, 92, of Salisbury, died on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Salisbury Center: Genesis Healthcare. Born on April 12, 1920 in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Tony and Mae Watson Palone. Sam lived in Salisbury all his life, where he owned and operated Palone Construction. He also worked for 16 years at Dove Pointe. Over the course of his military service, Sam served in the National Guard, Merchant Marines and the US Navy, where he served during WWII in the South Pacific. Sam was an avid fisherman and a member of the VFW, Moose, American Legion and Elks Club. He was also a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, Sam is preceded in death by two children; Carole and Michael Palone, his brother and his sister. Mr. Palone is survived by his loving wife of 19 years; Hilda M. Palone, three grandsons; Richard Lind Jr. and his wife Colleen, Randy and Rodney Lind, two step-children; William Jones and his wife Diane and Nancy Connors and her husband Jeff, five great-grandchildren; Jessica, Ashley, Erika, Michael and Shelby, two nephews; Ronnie and David Paolone, a great-nephew; Michael and a great-niece; Michelle.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
