SALISBURY, Md. - Ronald Howard Wiegand, 79 of Salisbury, died Friday, March 1, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Chester, PA he was the son of the late Howard and Florence Bunting Wiegand. Mr. Wiegand was a member of the American Legion and the Bowling Association. He retired from Dresser Industries after 31 years and was a school crossing guard for 13 years.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Towers Wiegard; sister-in-law, Bonnie Passwaters of Ridgely, MD; brother-in-law, Donald Towers and his wife, Ann of Ridgely, MD and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a half sister, Elsie Long.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Holloway Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Jim Riley will officiate.
