MARYLAND - Wind restrictions are now in effect at the Bay Bridge.
The Maryland Transportation Authority says that with the sustained wind speeds or gusts between 40 and 49 mph, house trailers, empty box trailers or any vehicle that, in the opinion of law-enforcement personnel, may not safely cross the bridge, will not be allowed to cross.
Those that are denied, will be assisted with safely turning around. Know before you go, visit Md511.org.
