WMDT 47 NEWS - A warning for parents, teens and young adults regarding a new street drug's dangerous concoction that could end in death.
It's called "Molly" and is a powder form of pure ecstasy, better known as MDMA. Now the drug is allegedly being mixed with cocaine, crack and bath salts, and comes in the form of a capsule. We've seen the vicious effects from bath salts alone. Doctors at PRMC say this mixture can heighten that.
"They lose their perception of reality and what's going on around them, and become disoriented. We've seen cases where patients can jump off balconies. This could be a one pill could kill kind of scenario," said Brian Delligatti, an Emergency Physician at PRMC.
According to the opposition, entertainers have been rapping about the drug "Molly" in their songs, and say they're possibly creating a curiosity in teens and college students.
