Police Looking For Information On Dover Shooting Suspect

DOVER, Del. - Police are looking for a suspect after a shooting allegedly occurred in Dover.

According to Dover Police, early Saturday morning, around 2:45 AM, two men got into an argument on New Castle Avenue, East of River Road, one pulled out a handgun, and the two got into a physical altercation, during which the gun was shot.

Police say that the bullet hit the 24-year-old man, and a 39-year-old woman in the hand, who then fled the scene to get treatment at Bayhealth Hospital. The woman had to be transferred to Christiana Hospital, the man refused treatment.

The victims reportedly describe the suspect as a black male around 30 years old, 6' tall, with a medium build, last seen wearing a stocking cap, jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt, and driving an older model white Chevy Suburban. The suspect is facing assault and weapons charges.
