Shirley M. Elliott - WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's Choice

SALISBURY, Md. - Shirley M. Elliott, 76, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, with her family by her side at PRMC in Salisbury, Maryland. She was born March 13, 1936, in Salisbury. Her parents were the late Harry Davis and Thelma Livingston. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Elliott Sr. on March 19, 1998, a daughter, Vickie Leigh Elliott in January 1966, and a grandson, Jamie P. Elliott in March 2007. A sister, Doris Townsend of Edgewater, Md and a brother, Harry Davis Jr. of Parsonsburg are also deceased.

Shirley retired from Campbell Soup Company with more than 30 years of service. She was a great country cook and enjoyed hosting family dinners.  She is survived by four sons and their spouses: William B. Burton III and wife Terry of Poulsbo, Washington; Allen Wayne Burton Sr and wife Cindy of Mardela Springs; Richard L. Elliott Jr and wife Terri of Delmar, MD; Michael T. Elliott and wife Donna of Salisbury. In addition, she is survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 13th at 11:00am at Holloway Funeral Home with visitation starting at 10:00am. Interment will follow in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury.
