RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Utility crews are continuing to restore power to thousands of customers in Virginia following the recent winter storm.

More than 4,500 Dominion Power customers remained without electricity Saturday afternoon. A majority of those are in the Shenandoah Valley and Western Piedmont area.

Dominion says it has restored service to more than 95 percent of customers whose lost power. The company had more than 4,700 crews working to restore electricity, including 500 from out of state.

Virginia's electric cooperatives report about 11,300 customers remained without service Saturday afternoon.

About 200,000 customers in the state lost power at the height of the storm, which dumped up to 20 inches of snow in central and western Virginia and left three people dead.
