Prime Hook Still Facing Flood Damages

Posted: Updated:

MILTON, De - Prime Hook is still flooded and DelDOT is still waiting for the flooding to go down before they can start assessing the damages.

Public Information Officer Jim Westhoff says that while Prime Hook receives many floodings, residents are used to it and have been prepared. He also tells WMDT that the federal government is working on a way to fix the road so that it would not flood every time a tidal surge occurs.

"Hopefully it will recede by the end of maybe twenty four hours. It's up really up to the tide and the moon in order to see the condition of the road. We did see some good chunks of the road missing so we may have to do some repairs" Says Westhoff.
