DelDOT Announces A Number Of Road Closings

DELAWARE – A number of road closings have been announced by DelDOT because of flooding.

Officials say the roads closed in Sussex County are Primehook Road, Back Bay Cove Rd Gate, and Fowler Beach Road. Route 1 is reportedly closed between Bethany Beach & Dewey Beach. Also closed is Road 297 at Chief Clark Road, River Road at both ends of Chief Clark Rd and Shorts Marine. Broadkill Road and New Road are also closed.

DelDOT tells WMDT that the roads in Kent County that have been closed are Route 9 north of Hay Point Landing Road, Route 9 between South Little Creek Road and the fire house, Cypress Branch Road at branch crossing, Ponderosa Road at Plain Dealing Road, and Port Mahon Rd.

Finally Officials say only a few roads are closed in New Castle County, including Bayview Rd & Silver Run Rd, and Old State Road at the causeway.
