VSP Confirm Two More Arsons In Accomack County

Posted: Updated:

ACCOMACK CO., Va. – WMDT has gotten word of two more fires in Accomack County on Tuesday night.

The first blaze was called in not too long before 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night on the 22,000 block of Wachapreague road in Wachapreague. Police say an abandoned two story residence was completely destroyed in the blaze.

The second came in around 11:00 p.m. on the 24,000 block of Church Road in Tasley. Authorities say an abandoned two story home was completely destroyed in this fire as well.

No injuries were reported in either of these fires and investigators tell WMDT they both appear to be arsons.

Virginia State Police say they are urging anyone with any information to come forward and assist in solving the arsons on the Eastern Shore. There continues to be a $25,000.00 reward offered to any information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

We'll continue to bring you more as it comes into our newsroom.
