NANTICOKE, Md. - An early morning vehicle accident leaves one dead and another injured.
Police say 61-year-old Stanley Holman of Tyaskin was traveling southbound on
Wetipquin Road when the vehicle drifted onto the northbound shoulder. Holman reportedly attempted to
regain control of his vehicle before skidding and overturning twice, landing in a nearby marsh.
According to officials neither Holman and his passenger, identified as 46-year-old Tina Coffin of Quantico, were wearing seatbelts. Both of them were ejected from the vehicle.
Holman was pronounced dead at the scene. Coffin was taken to PRMC where she is listed in serious condition.
The crash is still under investigation, but police say speed and alcohol were contributing factors.
