SALISBURY, Md. - Some new features are heading to Walgreens stores nationwide, including one store in Salisbury.
The store located near Route 50 and Mount Hermon Road now has a web pick-up option, which allows you to purchase items online. Walgreens workers will do the shopping for you, then you just pick them up at the store.
Another change is the pharmacy, which is adding a private immunization room and pharmacist desk, which workers say is more accessible for patients.
"We really want to be the first choice for health and daily living destination of everyone in America," said Michael Zajac, Walgreens Community Leader. "We want to help people stay and live well. That's just not a matter of our new features of the store but that's part of our beliefs."
Workers say these new features are only in 500 of their stores nationwide. The store opened its doors on January 28th.
