Dover Man Charged With Sexual Abuse Of Child

DOVER, Del. - A Dover man is accused of raping a child over a two year period.

An investigation by Dover Police showed that 41-year-old Ronald Waid raped an 8-year-old relative between the years 2005 and 2007. Police say that Waid threatened to kill her, if she told anyone what he did.

Waid is charged with 7 counts of rape in the 1st degree, continuous sexual abuse of a child, aggravated menacing, and terroristic threatening. He is being held at James T. Vaughn on $200,000 bond.
