WICOMICO CO., Md. - Folks at the Wicomico County Health Department want you to start talking to your loved ones.
Friday began "National Colon Cancer Awareness Month" and to kick it off they took part in Dress in Blue Day. Experts say all it takes to get the ball rolling on good health is to start a conversation. Everyone age 50 and older should see their doctor about getting screened.
Wicomico County Heath Department's Community Health Nurse, Denise Chamberlain says "a simple colonoscopy screening can save people's lives. It is 90% preventable."
