POCOMOKE, Md. - Norma Hickman Taylor, 83, of Pocomoke went home to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Hartley Hall Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in New Church, VA she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Doris Pusey Hickman.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Granville J Taylor; five children, Betty Taylor of Salisbury, Beverly Wilkins and her husband Tom, Brenda Beauchamp and her husband Bill all of Pocomoke, Bryan Taylor and his wife Linda of Box Iron and Barbara Taylor of Pocomoke: six grandchildren Kimberly, Janet and Paul Wilkins of Pocomoke, Laura Wilkins Brandon and her husband, Captain Dave Brandon stationed at RAF Lakenheath, UK and Mark and Megan Taylor; a sister Eugenia Perdue of Snow Hill and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Justice and her twin brother Ralph Hickman.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pocomoke and before her illness was a faithful Sunday School teacher, a member of the Golden Circle Sunday School class, active in the Women's Missionary Union, and a founder of the Kathryn Barnes Mission Group at First Baptist.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:00 at the Holloway Funeral Home at 107 Vine Street, Pocomoke with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Paul Elligson will officiate. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery.
