REHOBOTH, Del. - Four people have been arrested in connection with a string of thefts from vehicles. Delaware State Police say they started looking into numerous thefts from vehicles on SR 1, where the suspects took checks and ID cards.

An investigation into the thefts, showed that the suspects would write each other checks from the victim's books, and then used the IDs to cash them. All the checks that tried to be, and were cashed, were in Anne Arundel County, until Monday, when 24-year-old Erin Jordan, of Selbyville, reportedly tried to cash one of the checks at the County Bank in Georgetown. When the teller returned to the window, Jordan had driven away, but Detectives caught up with her on Wednesday at the Econo Lodge in Rehoboth Beach, where she was taken into custody.

An investigation showed that three other subjects, 27-year-old Rodney Moss, 24-year-old Javon Jackson, and 24-year-old Anthony Dixon, all of Florida, who were also involved in the thefts, were also staying at the hotel. They reportedly tried to flee from the back balcony, but later changed their minds and were also taken into custody. Police searched the rooms and the suspect's cars, where they found a credit card that had been taken from a vehicle the day before.

All four suspects have been charged with 93 offences each, including 3rd degree burglary, felony theft, identity theft, forgery, conspiracy, and resisting arrest. Jordan is being held at Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on $46,500 cash bond. Moss, Jackson, and Dixon are each being held at Sussex Correctional Institution on $139,500 cash bond.
